this place sucks...me and my man booked a vacation like 3 days later they called and said that one is not available. they gave us a list we talked to 4 people before we booked the next one they took are payment then 4 days later called and said no to that one.

now they say it be 7-14 days business days til we get money back.This was my families x-mas they are messing up.

now we have to scramble to find a new deal.thanks alot.not!!dont use they are no help. no wonder they sale things so cheap cause they call later wanting more money.

Unfortunately, the resort determined you were not eligible for the promotion package you first choose.

A few hours after you booked your dates of January 1, 2016 through January 4, 2016, we were advised by the resort that your reservation would not be accepted. We contacted you immediately and you agreed to change resorts. BookVIP did not charge you for the price difference when you changed resorts.

Your reservation was cancelled due to credit card decline and because you never responded to our many attempts to reach you via telephone, text message and email regarding same. Your original deposit in the amount of $39 has been refunded.

BookVIP helpful and persistant to find elderly fun anniversary vacation.

I had submitted a previous poor review of BookVIP that I must straighten out. It appears that the company is a booking company for resorts and they do not set the stipulations and only follow the resorts request.

After posting my complaint the company called and apologized for any misunderstanding. They made sure that the card was not charged and went out of their way to find a new vacation that my elderly parents did qualify for. They were kind and respectable the during the entire transaction and continued to try to be helpful.

I think it is a scam.I tried to book a deal on their website. They take your reservation and credit card first.

Then you have to call to confirm. I called to confirm. They did not have any rooms left at the place for that deal.The person was not in United States. Took 10 minutes for her to understand my name and email.

Tried to get me to book at another place with none of the amenities but,at the same price.

Duhhh. No.

Discriminate against older people

This company is not a standup company. They advertise specials and after my father purchased and paid for the vacation they informed him, during the post pay phone call, that since he is 70 years old he did not qualify for the special.

WHAT? That is ridiculous, older adults are often the people who want to purchase a timeshare because they have the money to buy it and the time to visit. How tacky.

i would not recommend getting involved with a company like that.

Well, BookVIP did contact me but in no way resolved the issue. Yes, I was given a refund.

But I was not given what I purchased in good faith, my vacation when I wanted to take it. They did offer me a substitute vacation in April- I NEVER vacation in April, only February and because they didn't have that open, agreed to the first week of March.

But of coarse, they already knew that when they offered me a vacation they knew I wouldn't want!!!!!!!!!!!!! As before, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

To reiterate, BookVIP has no control over the decisions of the participating resort providers who sponsor and subsidize the promotion packages offered by BookVIP.

Your original travel dates were booked in good faith according the resort calendar. BookVIP was notified the day after you booked that the Resort had closed their calendar for the entire month of March for the special promotional package.

When notified of same, you declined all options to change resorts and filed your complaint.

You were contacted by a supervisor and offered a free vacation at your preferred resort to be taken any time after April 16 (when the calendar reflected availability) and you refused same. Of course, we had no idea that you only travel in February, and had you shared that information, we could have arranged for you to take your free vacation in February.

Bookvip screwed my whole vacation to Miami last weekend, I spent more than $10 k for this vacation and was celebrating my wife's b'day they canceled my reservation when I reached Miami, worst things is they have the balls to charge me $150 penalty

Your reservation was cancelled when you arrived at the resort and presented a temporary ID, which violated the resort’s Terms and Conditions. As clearly stated in writing, any violation of the Terms and Conditions set forth by the resort voids the promotional package price.
Neither the resort nor BookVIP could have anticipated that you had a temporary ID as it was not made clear that you were not US/Canadian Citizen or permanent resident. However, we did not charge the penalty and also gave you a 100% refund.
Our special promotional packages are sponsored by the resorts and the rooms are discounted up to 80% because the resort is subsidizing the room in exchange for your time during the resort preview. All qualifications, resort fees, taxes, deposits and penalties for any particular property are clearly stated on the Terms and Conditions governing each vacation package.
To ensure that a potential customer is eligible and qualified to participate in the special promotion, the Terms and Conditions are reviewed with the customer during the sales call and the customer must accept and agree to the Terms and Conditions via electronic signature before any reservation is final and the travel dates sent to the resort.

Booked a trip to Costa Rica. Got an email stating to call and when I called.

I got Will and very unwilling to help. Did not check for availability and brushed me off the phone saying there are no bookings.meanwhile I already booked my airline ticket in which is not refundable . Asked to speak to supervisor and he hung up on me twice . There must be more than one customer service rep?!

I did not get my answer whether I will have a hotel to stay. Very disappointed in their customer care.

SCAM!! Stay far away from this company , they informed me I won a sweepstakes for a vacation and only needed to pay 96 dollars for taxes and had 18 months to use it.

Called this evening to book the trip and they told me I wasn't able to take my girlfriend on a trip which I promised her already because we are not yet married. If you get an email from them don't be as naive as i was as they did not explain any of this when I called originally.

Now i have to make other arrangements after I have booked flights and everything. Terrible experience!

The REAL price of $460 (after taxes/resort fees) for a 4 night/ 5 day stay probably would have been acceptable IF they would have advertised it THAT price.

Their $299 statement of "Price Is Per Room For Entire Stay - Not Per Person, Not Per Night" is extremely deceptive. This is a bait/switch and very misleading because the undisclosed add on taxes and resort fees. Just be real and disclose them at the onset.

They have offered me a refund, lets see how THIS plays out.

Their DECEPTIVE tactics are not needed when this is probably an OK deal hidden under all of the deception-- Just call a PIG a PIG and quit attempting to sell it as a "pig in a poke"

The addition of government taxes at time of purchase is a standard generally understood by everyone.

All taxes and fees are disclosed before any transaction is completed and charged.

Taxes are not included on our website because applicable government taxes and fees vary depending upon upgrades or extra persons or extra nights added to the vacation packages – the total of which is necessary before the required government taxes and fees can be quoted (if applicable).

There is NEVER a bait and switch as you claim as we do disclose 100% of any additional fees, if applicable, and you would have had to agree to those terms in writing prior to any billing.

As you point out, despite taxes (which we cannot do anything about) or Resort Fees charged by the participating resort, our offers are still 77% less than booking directly with the resort or with any other travel provider. Feel free to compare our rates and you will probably be back.

I have made a reservation for vacation to Cancun in Crystal Resort for my husband, my daughter and I. I got the confirmation for three adults.

Then I made a reservation with Airline for three people.

Next day when I called them. they told me I have to pay $80 per night extra for my daughter. It was over our budget, so I talked to the supervisor Cheryl, who told me after for ever on the phone that it will cost me $300 extra. Our representative made a mistake.

So I canceled the vacation.

And paid fee to the airline to cancel our flight. I just don't want this to happen to other families.

The discounted package price offered by the Krystal Resort is for 2 adults and 2 children, 18 and under. Further, it should come as no surprise that an additional charge would be incurred for your “kid” who is a 3d adult age 29.

When contacted by a supervisor, you accepted BookVIP’s apology for any inconvenience and stress resulting from your experience and had agreed to remove your review.

You advised BookVIP that you had sent an email to pissedconsumer retracting your negative review, but you were not willing to go to the trouble of providing pissedconsumer with the additional steps to have it removed entirely.

Your trip was cancelled and you were never charged for the vacation package.

I'm sorry that happened to you, but this review is a bit unfair. When I booked the exact same trip, they were clear about the pricing being for 2 adults & 2 kids.

I was told that 4 adults, (bc we're traveling w/o kids), would incur an extra per night fee per adult(s) exceeding 2. I'm assuming that's the case here.

The info wasn't volunteered to me though, I asked before booking. You have to do your due diligence w/ offers like these or your assumption(s) can cost you money.

My review was total truth, My be they were clear with you with their pricing, but I was with their representative for more than 30 minutes and made sure that he new what I was asking for. They called me and told me that they made the mistake.

So you don't know what happened to me, I didn't assume anything. They offered me a free trip if I say that I made a false review, but I wasn't going to do that.

So please don't judge me, I am a very honest person, I do not leave a bad review for any one unless they deserve it. I just didn't want this to happen to another family.

These losers could not even address the real issue-that they offer a nice resort knowing it is booked and expect you to settle for a lousy resort. The old bait and switch.

And they try to deflect blame to the resort! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I stumbled upon the website for Book VIP which sells resort rooms for less if you agree to a timeshare presentation. The deal was good, so I purchased a stay for 3 nights at the Hollywood Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale and called to book my dates.

The dates I originally wanted were booked, so I booked 3 nights in March 2016. Imagine my surprise when I started getting emails to call them.

When I did, this company said they made a mistake and did not have dates available in March and wanted to send me to a *** Ramada instead! This is the oldest trick in the book, and certainly illegal!

False advertising. They are NOT BBB accredited.

Couldn't even find the company on BBB website. In a response on this site to an upset costumer they states all information and restrictions are available before booking. Maybe after you submit your credit card info but I couldn't find any restrictions before entering credit card info.

I'm reporting them for false advertising since they are not BBB accredited and claim they are. Please join me.

DO NOT BUY

This is a scam, they reel you in with a good price, then add costs and restrictions. Customer service is non existent, no supervisor to speak with either.

They charged my credit card twice, and then added more charges to the end of the deal. Each step was just more, and more charges. Complete scam and waste of time, 3 phone calls and 3 hrs. Then when I tried to cancel, they hung up on me, when I called back I was on hold for 30min, only to have someone say they would "call me back to cancel." One of the worst experiences I have ever had.

Go to another site, they are many that treat customers better than BookVIP.com.

Do not waste your time or money.

We were very shocked to receive this complaint.
To clarify, you have never been charged for the full vacation in question and you were promptly refunded the $99 deposit within 24-hours of your request to cancel your vacation package.

Your reservation was secured with a $99 partial deposit.  When you called to set your travel dates, you were advised that your dates fell within a “peak travel season” (recognized worldwide as heavy travel times) when higher rates are charged by the resorts.  You refused to pay the price difference, demanded a cancellation, and promptly filed your first complaint.

You were contacted within 24-hours of filing your complaint by a supervisor.  After a pleasant conversation, you agreed to keep your vacation package at a discounted rate, as well as a FREE 6-day/5-night vacation at a 5-Star resort in the Riviera Maya. You also agreed to remove your posting and provided BookVIP with a copy of the retraction statement you sent to PissedConsumer.com.  When advised that PissedConsumer has a formal
procedure to be followed in order to remove a complaint, you responded that your retraction statement was sufficient and would prefer to cancel your reservation rather than spend any more time on the issue.  Your reservation was put on hold at that time pending the outcome of your complaint not being posted by PissedConsumer.com.

To rectify the situation you were sent the Award Certificate for your FREE vacation and you have the direct dial number of the supervisor with whom you were working.  We definitely think we have worked hard to resolve the issue as we pride ourselves in our customer service.

Bookit.com is a much better choice. Used them 5 times.

Only one issue on one trip and appeared to be the hotel's fault. We paid for ocean front with balcony right over the beach, but received ocean view on the side. Moved us the second day and bumped us to Platinum to make up for it, which was acceptable to us.

Bookit also has the best transportation to an from the airport - Best Day. The specials aren't quite at cheap as what Bookvip, but no bait and switch, and no time share pitch to sit through.

I am making a complaint about your agent, i booked for an hotel paradise cancun resort today around 10:30 pm to 10:50 pm

when i called to confirm for my reservation the guy said that the fact that me and my girfriend were not married do not allow us to go to this hotel... When i looked to the term and condition it was saying married or cohabiting together, when i told the guy, he put me on hold and took it off, in front of me say refresh please; very disrespectful and after he try to sell me another package of a 100 more, so instead of 299$ like in your website saying it 399$ but wait a min he said it comes up to 502$ at the end of the road to include your taxes,,, i looked to your website,,, it doesn't talk about taxes,,, you should write 399$ + Taxes to your ad...

So all this is bad customer service, and false advertisement... I am going to cancel the airplane tomorow...

Bad agent... If i was your boss and believe me; where i work if one of my people would treat all my clients like that, i would fire them...

All of our 77%-off promotions are sponsored by the participating resort. With such low and affordable prices, these special promotions could easily be sold-out solely to 20 year-old young adults, which is not the demographic for whom these special promotions are designed. Thus, it is necessary to have a few qualifications which must be met to be eligible to participate.

As an example - all of our promotions require that the consumer have a major credit card to check-in and not just a debit card, some age limitations, and group travel is not permitted with these promotions. Each qualification is clearly presented in writing and must be approved by the guest before the reservation can be finalized and sent to the resort

Apparently, a few days before your scheduled check-in date, you called us to confirm whether or not a credit card was required (due to your previous agreement to same) only to hear us confirm that yes you would need one.

This is a standard practice implemented worldwide by hotels and resorts, because rooms that are cancelled at the last minute may not re-sell, resulting in a loss for the hotel or resort (as happened with the room that was reserved for you).

Despite your breach of the terms, your demand was honored and your full refund was processed within minutes of your call – and PRIOR to this online complaint.

I CALLED TO BOOK A TRIP ON 7/16- I WAS ASKED TO READ ALL THE TERMS AND CONDITION WHICH I DID AND ASKED THE REP FROM BOOKVIP, IT SAYS I NEED A MAJOR CREDIT CARD BECAUSE I DONT HAVE ONE AND SHE SAID DOES YOUR SPOUSE HAVE ONE I SAID NO THEN SHE PLACED ME ON HOLD CAME BACK SAID IT WAS OK, I SAID ARE YOU SURE SHE SAID NOT A PROBLEM I CALLED ON 8/31 TO CONFIRIM AGAIN ABOUT THE MAJOR CC VS. DEBT NOW IM TOLD THAT I CANNOT USE MY DEBT CARD AND WILL NOT REFUND MY MONEY I ASKED FOR A MANAGER AND WAS TOLD THEY WERE ON A BREAK THEN SAID WILL ONLY REFUND 129.00, I PAID 229.00.

All of our 77%-off promotions are sponsored by the participating resort. With such low and affordable prices, these special promotions could easily be sold-out solely to 20 year-old young adults, which is not the demographic for whom these special promotions are designed. Thus, it is necessary to have a few qualifications which must be met to be eligible to participate.

As an example - all of our promotions require that the consumer have a major credit card to check-in and not just a debit card, some age limitations, and group travel is not permitted with these promotions. Each qualification is clearly presented in writing and must be approved by the guest before the reservation can be finalized and sent to the resort

Apparently, a few days before your scheduled check-in date, you called us to confirm whether or not a credit card was required (due to your previous agreement to same) only to hear us confirm that yes you would need one.
