Single guys do not waste your time
I spent hours looking through and reading about the resorts only to find out they would not book for a single male. 1 adult age 55.
Saying that I was only going there to party. Nothing could have been further from the truth. Funny thing is I do not drink. Going to Cancun for ten days to see a dentist.
So probably would not be eating much either. I only eat whole raw foods so I was looking to book a place with a kitchen/refrigerator. I do stay in the best places when I travel and was looking to buy a condo hotel or timeshare if the price was right.
Found the two places I wanted to try and after you click on book it they tell you to call the number where they tell you they will not book to a single man. No where on the site do they tell you that.
If it sounds to good to be true it usually is. The people in the video do these reviews for the perks.
I would not waste my time here again if they offered free rooms at the Ritz, which is where I will be staying!
Everything happens for a reason. Not looking for Zika virus.

Caveat Emptor!
I booked a trip with this company. They say you have 7 days to cancel.
I called on day 7 to cancel because I had not received a confirmation from them about my trip, therefore I had no confidence in them to deliver. The rep said they would cancel the trip but would not refund my money. They do not honor their agreements.
I would not trust this company at all. They try and entice you with the idea of low rates and just try and scam your money.

Bookvip - Vacation Package Review from Weston, Florida
We booked our package at $159. It was advertised a room with a jacuzzi.
I always cross my T's and dot my I's so I confirmed it twice and was told I was to get a room with a jacuzzi and balcony. Then I get a phone call back and they told me I had to pay $39 in taxes!!! I payed them. Three days later I get another charge for taxes, called to dispute it and it took over 12 days to get my $ back.
I asked if there were any catches because of the price, they said NO! I asked if I had to do a time share and was told no we just hope that you like our property while you are here and decide to purchase a vacation share and tell your friends, we're not time share! Then I get a letter stating if I don't do a 90 minute presentation I lose my money and I have to pay over $700!!! I call and they tell me I misunderstood the first person I spoke to!
I agreed to do timeshare. I told them it needs to be in afternoon because I am going to a party the evening before! Day of vacation I have to go to a welcome center, they tell me, I have to go to an 8:30 am showing-I told them no and they said they would cancel the package and I would owe $790! I said no, we are going in the afternoon!
She said why would you want to miss the Super Bowl? Well, the showin is at 1:30, super bowl is at 8 and presentation is 90 minutes. We agree to 1:30 and they send us 15 minutes away with the most confusing directions, took us an hour! They give us a mildew smelling crack shack room with no balcony and no jacuzzi. I call downstairs to a manager Shakir and she said that's what bookvip booked us in and told us to call them.
I call bookvip and they tell me this resort only has these rooms!! I said I asked to upgrade to a bigger room and you told me they only had one type of room, they are thelling me they have 2-3 bedrooms with jacuzzis! JP told me he was putting me on hold to call and speak to Shakir. I'm on the other phone with my husband who is on the phone with Shakir (on speaker) and I'm on the phone with JPnon speaker.
JP gets back and lies to me telling me he spoke to Shakir and they are going to fix the problem! Shakir is saying sir, I am Shakir--you did not speak me! So I say to him your lying to me telling me you spoke to her when you didn't and he said No you misunderstood , I'm having my manager call her and call you back. They are going to fix the problem.
Hung up. Shakir got so mad, they upgraded but when I got here I had to pay taxes again!!! When they upgraded, I had to pay taxes in upgrade. A manager from bookvip never called back.
20 hrs later I called back and got JP again and he offered me 3 free nights anywhere in us. I said I just want the tax money and what I laid out--NOPE! Asked for a mgr to call me back, he offered me nothing, not even an apology.
Told me they don't advertise those rooms. See pictures advertised

Bookvip - Deal Review from Bellevue, Washington
It was not the penalties that caused the problem. I showed up for the presentation on time.
The problem was that my cohabitant has a spinal cord injury and was unable to make it at 9 in the morning because of a flair up. If we had been given 2-3 hours for her medication to kick in, the presentation would not have been a problem. However, the presenters showed no flexibility at all, and were very rude.
In addition, all I need is some type of payment plan to pay off the penalties. I'm a 100% service connected disabled veteran and simply don't make enough to pay $450 in one payment.
Beware. They dont honor the terms of their own agreement. The scam is to get you there then void the special deal and hit your credit card.

Do not book with this company
Well this company has not changed. All they tell you is that your cancellation request has been sent to their cancellation department and you have to wait until someone calls you back.
I requested to speak to the supervisor, funny, she is always on the phone every time I call. No call back from the cancellation department or the supervisor. Yes, I was also hung up on! BookVIP customer service can not transfer you to the cancellation department.
BookVIP took the money out of my account the very next day after I booked this vacation. Try getting your money back!

STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!!
If you book through BookVIP, be aware that they put "advance" purchase prices on hotels they label as cancellable without penalty. But, after you make the reservation, your confirmation may say it is not changeable or cancellable, and your credit card will immediately be charged!
When I tried to cancel, I had to make several calls, and each time the customer service person gave me a different number to call. I spoke to Melinda, Jezz, Jenny and Mitch @***.com. I was given numbers to call the hotel direct, 3 different numbers at Expedia and 3 different numbers at BookVIP.com.
When I finally asked to speak to a manager at BookVIP.com , they refused to speak to me! The whole process took me over an hour and a half, and I still was unable to cancel my reservations.

FALSE ADVERTISING - Do Not Use - Add Terms & Conditions At Will
I've tried booking with BookVIP three times now and every time they ad terms and conditions that either exclude us from travelling (need to be cohabitating) or the price triples when you call to confirm. This isn't listed on their website and their representatives are useless.
Will never use them. FALSE ADVERTISING. I thought it looked too good to be true for the price and it was.
They told me to try another resort and call them back because there are different terms and conditions for each one. Try using cheapcaribbean.com instead.

On 12/27/15 we paid $149 deposit for an open booking for Sandos Finisterra Los Cabos until we could coordinate vacation schedules and approvals through our employer. On 1/11/16 I called back, spoke to a supervisor (Lex) and was able to finalize the dates of 2/9 - 2/12 and paid the $150 balance.
I was then told the criteria for the promotional rate: That we'd have to listen to a timeshare presentation and they also asked a series of question to verify that we qualified (which we did). I wasn't thrilled about having to do the presentation but decided I could live with it. We then booked our airfare. On 1/20 I received an email saying to contact them for Urgent Reservation matter.
I spoke with Sharizza and she asked why I was calling, I told her that I got a message to call, so she needs to tell me. She looked at my account and said everything was fine and there was nothing to worry about. Today 1/22, I received the same email message. This time I spoke with Laine and she told me that the dates I had reserved were no longer available and instead offered me the Holiday Inn.
This was not acceptable to me. I booked the Sandos Finisterra specifically because it was actually in Cabos San Lucas, on a beach, within walking distance to marina/town, and is a 4 + star rated hotel. The Holiday Inn isn't even in Cabos San Lucas, but instead over 30 miles away in San Jose which would require a rental car or taxi expense to get to town. It is a chain hotel, and not a "luxury" hotel.
Due to coordination of our work vacations and the fact that we have purchased our plane tickets, rescheduling wasn't an option either. So I asked Laine if I could cancel with a refund. She said if I rebooked with Holiday Inn, then I can not, but I could up until I rebooked because they were not able to give me what I reserved. I then called fiance and discussed our options.
After checking around we were able to reserve another resort in the location we wanted at a much higher rate. I then called back the same day to request they cancel and refund my money. I spoke with Ben, and although he seemed sympathetic, he said he could not refund the money because its been over 7 days since I booked it. The reason I cancelled was because they could not fulfill their agreement when I booked the resort.
If they were able to give me a room at the Sandos Finisterra, I wouldn't have cancelled. This is a part of my vacation budget and I need this $300 for my trip, especially since I'm now paying more for accommodations. And I definitely don't want to let them keep the money towards an open booking and have to go through another experience like this with them.
Attached is a screenshot I had taken of the promotional package that I had purchased and they were not able to give me. Also, I have gone to the site and acted like I was purchasing it again to see the availability dates and my dates are showing available as marked in green on the attached screenshot.
Bookvip - Vacation Package Booking Review from Nashville, Tennessee
We never actually booked with this company eventually. What seems to be too good to be true often is.
When we tried to make the reservation we suddenly had to tell our whole life history like being vetted for a high security job. Then the dates that had been available suddenly were not and then we were told to expect to sit through a sales presentation that apparently is put in such fine print that you need a microscope to read it.
The representative spoke barely passable English and appeared to be talking from a Zumba class, there was so much background noise. Prices aside there is not much going for this company and I will just say, prepare to be disappointed
Bookvip Hotel Reservation Review from Reno, Nevada
I booked an online reservation for 4 days/3 night suite at The Grandview at Las Vegas for $219. However, when I called to confirm the representative misquoted the offer (obviously reading the script for Thursday and not the one that I booked for Wednesday) then RUDELY stated that my reservation would be canceled since I am not traveling with my spouse and hung up in my face as I tried to clarify if this was due to a timeshare presentation requirement which was not advertised.
Bookvip - Vacation Package Booking Review from Richmond, Virginia
After seeing a promotional offer on Facebook, I began to read reviews about BookVIP. I read two, the second by a New Yorker dated June 26, 2015 ("FRAUDULENT..."), at which time I determined there was no need to continue.
I have been in customer service 40 years and any establishment that would say to a customer "all of your comments are completely untrue," as well as to be so condescending as to follow that up with " we wish you a wonderful vacation" after ironically talking about their "A+ rating for customer service," is certainly not an entity from whom I'm interested in acquiring a vacation package. I'm happy for those that had no difficulty but no way will I take the risk.
Bookvip Hotel Reservation Review from Miami, Florida
I have not got a call back to cancel it took 10min to book but forever to cancel who do i speak to can someone help me with a supervisor or higher
They change terms and conditions as they like, I was considering buying so I made sure that I met the qualifications before I hit book on their site, didn't meet the new ones due to age.
The original terms and conditions required a single female to be 28 min income of 40,000 and 15.00 a night resort fee
The new terms and conditions required single females to be 35, 16.95 a night 5.00 a night taxes (they had already added one tax to to my reservation) and a 350.00 security deposit until you attend their tour.
So no reservations, no offer for a different resort with different terms, and I am now turned off from the whole idea of dealing with people like I just had to on the phone.
It is not worth the hassle to deal with this company.
