This was a complete misrepresentation of what we were getting, accommodations were old, dirty, roaches. After paying several hundred dollars for our package we wereade to leave a deposit of $150.00 and a major credit card. They said a 90 minute presentation the took over 4 hours!!!!

BookVIP Reply:
Dear Marianela,

We appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns.

Our special promotional packages are amazingly affordable because the participating resort provider is paying up to 77% of the price of the room in exchange for your time during the resort preview. The resort – not BookVIP - decides what (if any) additional gifts are included in the package.

The promotional package you purchased included two (2) tickets to Universal, as was advertised on the website. Although you had to option to purchase additional Universal tickets when you made the reservation, you did not do so.

Because customer satisfaction is BookVIP’s top priority, we have attempted to contact you and look forward to hearing from you.

We send over 100,000 people on vacation per year and have more customer video reviews directly from than any other travel site: http://bookvip.com/sitereviews.

Customer service was rude, hard to understand and kept putting me on hold.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I had booked a $99 3 day 2 night vacation at the Kennebunk Inn in Maine. After showing up for our 90 minute presentation we were told that we would not qualify because we had a bankcruptcy of which we were discharged from in 2014.

In the terms and conditions of our agreement for our book vip vacation it stated no person may be in bankcruptcy or have any liens. Since we have been discharged 2 years ago and have no liens we agreed to the terms. We were then told at capital resorts that we would not qualify for financing because we had a bankcruptcy within3 years so they told us that they didn't want to waste our time. They told us to call Bookvip and they would still honor the $99 rate.

When I called I was put on hold several times, the woman and guy that I spoke with were hRd to understand and kept hanging up on me. When I did get someone she kept saying you have to pay the penalty. She couldn't speak English and that is all she could say. I went back and spoke to James at Capital Resorts and he stated that he spoke to his financial institution and they would allow us to get financing and we went through with the presentation.

James called Bookvip for us and stated he cleared things up. We no sooner were done with the presentation and we got a call from someone who was very rude and he said we owed $150 per night and did not believe me when I stated that we went through the presentation. He said he would call us back when he got ahold of capital resorts but he never did. I have never been treated so rudely.

I would never recommend you company to anyone. You had better not charge my credit card the penalty either as you will be hearing from my attorney.

Dear Toni,

Thank you for sharing your experience.

First and foremost, I would like to apologize for any inconvenience and stress resulting from the manner of communication provided by our Customer Service agents. As the fastest growing travel company in the world, we sometimes fall short of our goal, however we are constantly looking to improve.

Customer satisfaction is the mainstay of BookVIP’s business and the issues you encountered with the BookVIP Customer Service representative are being investigated and will be dealt with appropriately.

Our promotional packages are subsidized up to 77% of the retail rate by the participating resort provider.

To ensure that these rooms are available to the customers for whom they were intended, the participating resort provider sets forth certain eligibility requirements that must be met in order for BookVIP to be able to offer the package to potential guests.

The eligibility requirements can be changed at the resort’s discretion. BookVIP is only the booking company and must abide by the resort’s dictates. It was the resort who contacted BookVIP stating that you were not qualified for tour due to the previous bankruptcy.

Ultimately, you were granted a “courtesy” tour of the property and the resort did not charge us (or you) any penalties.

Hanging up on people and hard to understand is common for BookVIP. Then they change the dates and tell you your hotel is not available even once you have purchased plane tickets.

Bookvip Vacation Package Booking Review from Winston Salem, North Carolina

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I was so excited after finding bookvip through a facebook ad. I thought I'd finally found a way to plan an affordable vacation for my kids and I.

I spent over an hour on their website looking at their different packages, when I finally found the perfect place in Pigeon Forge, TN. I clicked "book now," typed in all of my info (including my FULL credit card number), only to be told I had to call a number to verify my reservation. I immediately called, of course. The guy who answered was very disengaged as he began asking who I was traveling with.

I said just my kids and I. He asked if I was married. I told him that I'm separated (for 2 years now btw). His whole demeanor felt very callous and condescending.

He said "oh wowwww ma'am you have to be legally single to qualify for this special." I said "I am legally single. We've been separated for over a year" He argued back "ma'am that's not how it works. You have to be divorced, or your spouse must be present with you." Of course I wanted to know why which he says "how am I supposed to know? We're just a booking agency"

Seriously?

What a HUGE waste of time. Maybe you guys should be more clear about all of the "requirements" instead of misleading people.

My kids are devastated. SHAME ON YOU!!!!

Dear Josie,

Thank you for sharing your experience. First and foremost, I would like to apologize for any stress resulting from the manner of communication provided by our sales representative.

We would have loved to accept your business but unfortunately, could not, which is why you were never charged.

Above all else, providing excellent customer service is our main goal and all of our customer service agents are highly-trained and qualified. As the fastest growing travel company in the world, we sometimes fall short of our goal – however, we are constantly looking to improve.

All of our special promotional packages are subsidized up to 77% by the participating resorts, and it is the resort (not BookVIP) who sets forth the eligibility requirements for these promotional packages in the Terms and Conditions.

The Terms and Conditions governing every vacation package can be found at the bottom of the hotel offering page on BookVIP’s website. This is why we ask you to call after booking online to confirm your eligibility and that you have read and understood the terms. We agree that our representative should have covered this info with you more clearly and thanks to your message we are re training him and the rest of the team on how to properly address this.

The purpose of these promotions is to introduce first time visitors to the participating resorts vacation club options and they hope you consider joining one of their frequent visitor programs and thus they ask that if married both travel together so that you can consider the options together. Of course there is no obligation to join anything but in order to receive the discounted price both must attend the resort discovery preview.

BookVIP has more video testimonials from happy customers than any other travel website in the world. Please refer to http://bookvipreviews.com/.

Again thank you for your comments as we are addressing this with entire staff today.

Bookvip Deal Review from Lawrenceville, Georgia

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

BookVip.com is a SCAM. I booked a stay in Orlando a few months ago and their website said if I completed the booking I would receive a free 4 day 3 night vacation in Miami, Orlando, Vegas AND MORE.

I paid for my stay and immediately called to verify my free trip. At that time I was told that once I completed the stay I paid for that I would be able to redeem the free vacation ANYWHERE they had hotels. After I completed my stay I called customer service and THAT is when the lies began to unravel. I was first told I had to do a video review.

I told them that was NOT made clear as a term or condition PRIOR to me paying for the first vacation. I reluctantly did the video only to THEN be told I had to stay at a Westgate property in Orlando. AGAIN prior to me paying for the initial vacation there were NO SUCH PARAMETERS placed on the free trip. Needless to say I am PISSED at their practice of bait and switch so I filed a complaint with the Consumer Protection Division of the Attorney General's Office in each state a partner of the company lists an address for (Louisiana, Florida and New York I think).

I got a copy of the answer to my complaint from the company's lawyer claiming they are temporarily suspending the campaign that suckered me in and are looking into it. I then contacted the lawyer myself sent him pictures of the false advertisement over 2 weeks ago and he has yet to respond. Upon looking on the internet Ive found NUMEROUS people who have also been scammed by these crooks and I am now entertaining the idea of filing a class action lawsuit.

Initially I was going to have my lawyer file a lawsuit just on my behalf since they are clearly refusing to give me the vacation they promised. But after seeing so many others taken advantage of I am going to look into my options to file on behalf of the MANY people this company has baited and switched o .

BookVIP Reply:
Dear Towanda,

We appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns.

First and foremost, ss you were advised, it is company policy that customers must complete one vacation before booking another bonus/free vacation.

All customers that are eligible have the opportunity to receive a free 4-day/3-night vacation at a Westgate Resort for mentioning BookVIP in a Video Review. This is to show BookVIP’s appreciation to those customers.

This opportunity is clearly advertised as: “Get 3 Free Nights at a Westgate Resort For Mentioning BookVIP in a Video Review.” We offer a choice of a standard room or a 1-bedroom under this promotion. It is not valid for peak season, black-out dates or holidays.

Although this is a free vacation, the Terms and Conditions set forth by the participating resort provider govern the vacations offered. We cleary list the terms & conditions on our site http://www.bookvip.com/hotelvideo

When you called to book your free vacation and requested a 3-bedroom suite during Peak season travel dates, you refused to pay for the additional costs incurred for the larger suite and Peak season surcharges required by the resort.

Another issue arose when you called to book your free vacation in Orlando and disagreed with the resort requirement that “Participants that have attended any other resort preview in the past 12 months are not eligible for this promotion.”

Understanding the guidelines above, please call 888.845.0602 when you are ready to book your FREE vacation and a customer service representative will be happy to assist you.

Resolved: Refund Policy Scam!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

BookVIP.com is a scam!

Don't be fooled by these scam artists. Go to BBB and TripAdvisor and look up the horrible reviews and massive number of complaints. They've been able to maintain their A rating because they've "responded" to every complaint filed with the BBB. But, you should consider the quantity of complaints. 150 "closed" complaints within 12 months, not counting "open" complaints. They don't even operate under their true business name, and their address is a PO Box in Natchitoches, Louisiana.

BookVIP.com is a front for a company named: Resort Vacations International. It took me a lot of research to uncover this. Try looking at RVI's website... what a joke. These *** scammed my wife and I out of $500 for a reservation we tried to get a refund for 2 months prior to the reservation dates, and now they are attempting to charge my bank account for another $500 for an additional reservation that was never confirmed, nor approved.

We lost our original $500 because their refund policy is good for 3 or 7 days from booking. They want the entire fee up front using some b/s about how space is limited and you need to pay up front, far in advance to secure your spot. READ THE FINE PRINT! And, make sure you research *** like this BEFORE you get taken.

This is all a scam to sell time shares. Read the complaints on Better Business Bureau. I already filed mine. There are hundreds. People who couldn't get refunds or had their reservations/resorts switched, and even rescheduled, at the last minute after paying for airfare, etc, etc.

Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, well... that's because you're getting scammed my friend. Don't let these bastards rip you (or anyone you know) off too! They got us.

Mr. Beckley

Thank you for your valuable feedback. As the owner of BookVIP, I am definitely proud of the fact we sent over 100,000 customers on vacations last year and have more customer video reviews than any other travel site. There is no "front" BookVIP.com is a simply better web site name than Resortvacationsinternational which is why we have over 2 Million Likes on Facebook. However, I understand as one of the fastest growing travel companies we are not perfect and it must also be understood that since our packages are up to 70% off the discounted rate that some customers try to circumvent the resort's eligibility requirements as the resorts are subsidizing the cost of the vacation in exchange for meeting their qualifications and agreeing to 90 minute resort preview. We go over all the requirement's on the phone and have each customer sign electronically before ever processing the charge. I do see the resort made numerous attempts to contact you to verify the reservation for you and the one for Deborah Jackson.

Thank you.

Mrs Cooley,

Thank you for your feed back. You booked a reservation with us for the River Terrace and one of the requirement's the is you must have a major credit card in order in order to receive the promotional package price. All our of promotional packages are up to 70% off because the sponsoring resort is subsidizing the cost of the room in exchange for you meeting their eligibility requirements which differ for every special hotel offer. Unfortunately, BookVIP does not set the qualifications. NO customer service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

No matter who I call or email or speak with, NO ONE is willing or able to assist me.

After booking, I realized our resort had three bedroom units, so I called to upgrade stating I'd pay whatever fee necessary. I was told this was impossible and they were unavailable. I explained that online, they are available; they had no reason for this...I called the Resort directly and was told they were indeed available. I called back Bookvip and was told they were unavailable. We are staying in a two bedroom despite our need for a three bedroom. For a company encouraging people to buy timeshares, you'd think they'd want you staying in whatever unit you'd be interested in?

Our flight lands at 1pm and I figure we'll be to the Resort by 230 at the latest; check-in is at 4. I am traveling with two children under the age of 3 and my elderly mother. I clearly need an early check-in, only a 90 minute early check-in, but because I booked through Bookvip.com the Resort is unable to assist and Bookvip tells me they cannot help.

I need a crib, and Bookvip tells me I need to request this AT check-in and IF they're available, they're available...how can I plan for this? My child NEEDS a crib!!! I call the Resort and am once again told that because I booked through Bookvip, they cannot help with reserving a crib. I am now paying $50 to check a pack-n-play, which my son does not sleep well in, in case a crib is not available.

I was asked at booking what date/time I'd like to tour the property and requested 5/17...I just received an email confirming 5/18...we have reservations all day at Disney on 5/18, so I email Bookvip advising of the incorrect date; they once again tell me they cannot help, that I need to handle this at check-in. I email back this is not acceptable and am given a phone number to call with an extension...I call and am told the extension does not exist and am connected to a toll free number for corporate booking who advises they can see my reservation, but can do nothing to assist me. I have emailed Bookvip back and have not yet heard.

The few hundred dollars saved by booking through Bookvip is NOT worth the hassles I have experienced. I would have preferred spend $1000 more and have the countless hours spent on the phone and emailing back. We leave for our trip in two weeks with no early check-in despite our earlier arrival, no idea if I'll have a crib, and an incorrect tour date with no concrete answer whether this can or will be allowed to be changed possibly ruining our entire day at Disney...or being charged full price and incurring fees for missing the tour. NOT WORTH THE DISCOUNT NO MATTER HOW NICE THE RESORT IS OR WHAT THE PACKAGE DEAL IS

BookVIP Reply:
Thank you for feedback. First, I want to apologize for the time delay in getting the special requests completed. However, it should be known that we were able to get you all the items requested 1) Crib 2)Early checkin 3)and to change your resort preview date/time. We had just asked that we had some time as we do not schedule the tour / times in dates. However, you decide to post this review before we had time to complete. That being said, I am glad we were able to get all your special requests for your vacation!

The owner of BookVIP, James Colligan, contacted me the day my reviews were posted. He apologized for the poor customer service, indicated that my call should have been escalated to a supervisor and assured me that this was not the way his business was operated.

Told me my money would be refunded and asked if I would still like to go to the resort. I said that all the wife and I wanted was to get away a few days, relax and do some fishing. He graciously offered to send us free of charge. Within hours I received e-mail confirmation and then followed up with the resort by phone personally to confirm.

Long story short, my money was refunded, we enjoyed a wonderful few days at Myrtle Beach and we plan to give BookVip another chance in the very near future. While business owners are ultimately unable to control every action of every person in their employ, they can make sure that every consumer complaint is resolved respectfully and with integrity.

James did exactly that and I felt that his apology on behalf of his (hopefully former) employee was heartfelt and sincere. End result, I had a wonderful vacation and would encourage other would be travelers to give BookVIP a try.

Original review Apr 29, 2016

If no stars had been an option, they would have gotten that. Booked a vacation, they debited my account.

A week later, no confirmation from resort. Called Bookvip, explained that my vacation was in about a week and I had no confirmation from resort. Was told they would follow up with resort and get back in touch with me. Several days later still no confirmation from either Bookvip or resort.

Now it's two days til vacation is supposed to begin. Called to cancel and request refund. Given the runaround for over an hour. Kept being connected with someone who spoke English poorly and apparently understood it even less.

Kept saying just keep it as open dates. I insisted I just want refunded. Round and round we go. She refuses, flat out refuses to connect me to cancellation department or to a supervisor.

At this point, I doubt I'll ever get my money back. Absolutely worst service EVER!

Dear Latoya,

We appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns.

Our special promotional packages are sponsored by the resorts and the rooms are discounted up to 77% because the resort is subsidizing the room in exchange for your time during the resort preview. The location of your resort preview is clearly stated in your resort confirmation, as well as included in the Terms and Conditions governing your vacation package.

All qualifications, resort fees, taxes, deposits and penalties for any particular property are also clearly stated on the Terms and Conditions governing each vacation package.

Not mentioned in your review, however, is that you choose to travel to Orlando, knowing you did not have a major credit card, which resulted in your promotion package being voided.

It is clearly stated in the Terms and Conditions governing the vacation package and which you agreed to in writing when you made your reservation that:
LEGALLY SINGLE WOMEN MUST VALID A MAJOR CREDIT CARD ONLY TO BE ELIGIBLE AND ALLOWED TO CHECK IN
Neither BookVIP nor the resort could have known that you were not in possession of a major credit card since you agreed to the Terms and Conditions via electronic signature when you made your reservation.

DO NOT USE BOOKVIP.COM!!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Here's a response I sent to BookVIP when they asked for my feedback. I had paid for a $499 deal to Cancun, and after all taxes and fees were added, the price I paid was $612.

I booked and paid at least a month out. What followed was an aggravating nightmare (almost every day for an entire month). Here is my response:

"BookVIP is horrible. You guys will never get a good review out of me.

I lost track of how many calls, emails and texts you sent me claiming that if I didn't call you back immediately, I might lose my reservation. I made a dozen or so calls back worried about my reservation only to be told that nothing was wrong. Why would you idiots keep sending me messages like that??? I even hit "STOP" on the text replies and you still kept sending me text messages!!!

I even talked to your phone reps and told them to make a note not to call me anymore!!! You guys suck.

Worse yet, you guys tried to rob me of an additional $100. For an entire month you kept stringing me along, telling me to call you (then only to tell me that nothing was wrong with my reservation), but when I was only hours away from boarding my plane, you guys called me one more time and said I still owed $100 in hotel taxes and fees!!! Why would you wait until the last second to tell me that??????

I argued with two phone reps and a "supervisor" who finally told me I could "settle the balance with the hotel". I hung up very angry. When I arrived at the hotel, I brought this up. I paid my vacation in full, even confirmed that I had a zero balance with the hotel, yet I have a phone message from you saying that I owe the hotel fees of $100.

Even the hotel had no idea what you were talking about. *** guys.

Don't ever contact me again. I will be sure to destroy your reputation as best I can as a "booking" agency."

BookVIP NEVER AGAIN

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

After constant problems with BookVIP (I'm responding to my last complaint on March 05, 2016), I finally was refunded a full refund because BookVIP wanted a proof of ID of living common-law, which we did have driver's license with matching addresses, but the house is under MY name because I owned it before my boyfriend moved in with me. In no way, shape, or form was I going to put any part of my house under his name. All the utility bills were under my name because I'm the sole owner of the house. The only other mail that came under his name were bank statements (which were not good enough) and government letters (which also weren't good enough).

When talking to BookVIP on the phone I was told driver's licenses were good enough. When they asked for proof, they put in the email they wanted two pieces of proof such as a driver's license AND and utility bill which I already explained to them that I was the sole home owner. When I called them back they again said just a driver's license. I emailed them copies of the driver's licenses then again they called asking for a utility bill, which again I explained I was the SOLE HOMEOWNER. Three weeks before I was to leave, and still it wasn't straightened out.

This was all on a Friday, I was told I'd have an answer for the Saturday and I said I needed an answer because if not I'd have to cancel as I couldn't leave my work up in the air. Saturday rolled around, didn't hear anything. Had a very hard time getting through to BookVIP. Finally the Sunday, they said they'd have an answer for the Monday, I told them to forget it and I just wanted a refund.

After much headaches, I finally got a full refund. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone as nothing is clear, and it being a timeshare thing they are not upfront about it, which is completely wrong.

BookVIP Reply:
Dear Shirley,

We were surprised to see your review, given the fact that your first review (#803798) was previously addressed.

Indeed, your reservation was cancelled and you were immediately refunded in full (on a Friday, as you mentioned). However, you called back and reinstated your reservation only hours later.

You were not charged a second time, because the representative wanted to confirm with the resort that your reservation would be honored to be reinstated before doing so. The resort reservation department is closed on weekends and you called to cancel your reservation again on the following Monday – because you do not have proper proof of cohabitation.

Please be reminded that it is the participating resort provider – not BookVIP – who sets forth the eligibility requirements for the promotional packages, for which they are paying up to 77% of the retail price.

Your reservation was booked under a “cohabitating” status – and as stated in the Terms and Conditions governing the vacation package, the resort requires proof of same, such as government-issued photo i.d.’s with matching addresses and/or a lease agreement.

Being the “sole homeowner” does not preclude you from providing your partner with a lease agreement.

However, as you were advised 3 days prior to filing your first review, the resort made an exception in your case and agreed to accept a utility bill (and your i.d.’s with matching addresses) as proof of cohabitation – neither BookVIP nor the resort ever received copies of these documents.

The Terms and Conditions governing every promotional package are located at the bottom of each resort offering page and are easy to read and understand. In addition, the Terms and Conditions are reviewed with the customer during every sales call, and must be agreed to in writing by every customer in order to finalize the reservation and have dates sent to the participating resort provider.

We send over 100,000 people on vacation per year and have more customer video reviews than any other travel site: http://bookvip.com/sitereviews.

Thank you.

Have Not Been Able To Obtain Refund After Several Weeks And Calls

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I placed a reservation for a timeshare in FL on the 19th of March and called back on the 20th to cancel. I was sent an email confirming cancellation and was told by the rep and via email that if my account was charged I would see refund within 5-7 days.

It has almost been a month and still no refund and each time I call I am being told I was never charged. I was told the same thing on today and sent rep a copy of the credit card statement so that she could see charge and she is still saying I cannot be refunded. I am very upset and disappointed in this treatment.

Not only will she not process refund but when I asked to speak with a manager I was placed on a long hold then hung up on. I don't know what I need to do to get my money back but I want my money now!!

Dear Patricia,
Thank you for your valuable feedback.

I would like to apologize for any inconvenience and stress resulting from the miscommunication provided by our Customer Service agent. It is discouraging to hear of your negative experience and that you were not treated with the respect you deserve.

Most importantly, however, your full refund was issued and you were given the refund transaction information to provide to your bank on the day you posted your review (12 business days after cancellation).

When you cancelled your reservation on March 20th, the charge was “en route” for processing but you had not yet been charged. Because the charge was “en route” when the reservation was cancelled, the charge could not be stopped.

As a rapidly growing we are not always perfect, but I can assure you that customer satisfaction is our main priority and I can be reached at James@bookvip.com to resolve any issues which may arise.

We will send over 300,000 families on dreams vacations alone this year! We have more actual customer video reviews than any other travel site. http://bookvip.com/sitereviews.

Have you stopped payment on your credit card? I would contact them and tell them the circumstances and that it is a fraudulent charge.

BOOKVIP IS A FRAUD

With this travel agency we had the worst experience ever, they put a lot of conditions for you to travel and while you buy they never tell you all of them , they say you have 8 days to cancel but the trick is that they send you the hotel confirmation like a month after and there is when they send you the terms and conditions.

We when in march 2016 to the Sandos Playa car hotel with BookVIP we got there like at 4 pm. My 1 year old baby was tired and hunger and crying because we were up since 3 am flying from Newark Nj.

so we were to make the check in and they asked me for the credit card because we were asked to put 1.500.00 USD to attend the time share presentation >>>> why i don't know if what they do is that if you don't buy the keep your money or why do they need it for .....

so my husband gived the lady his card that was a credit or debit card.

and they didn't accepted because they wanted just a major credit card.

so we said ok can we give the money cash ??? noooo ..... can we give an other persons credit card ??? noooo ... so then receive this card the money is there .....NOOOO .. the last thing for that day after 2 hours at the phone with bookvip they said they will call us early in the morning the next day to see if they were to do any thing fo us. while all this my baby was crying of hunger and tired around 3 hours there at the lobby because no body gived me any solution.or at least a room so the baby can rest while we find any agreement.

so then a guy Carlos from the Hotel talked to us and we asked for a room at least for that night he said yes but you will have to pay for it ..

so we took it and the next day i had to call like around 1 pm to bookvip because no body ever called me from the agency like they said they would so i called Bookvip again to see if they where going to give us any solutions ..

so again i said listen I'm far away with my family we paid 1.500.00 usd for this trip what can we do . the response was ......

if you don't have a mayor credit card you can't stay at the hotel !!!!!!!!

ok so i said BUT I HAVE A DEBIT OR CREDIT ONE, HAVE THE

BookVIP Reply:
Dear Erica,

We regret that you encountered such a stressful situation, especially since it could have been avoided, had you complied with the Terms and Conditions which you agreed to (in writing and by voice-recording) when you booked your vacation.

Indeed, you confirmed on a recorded telephone call that you were aware of the presentation and the sales representative reviewed each portion of the Terms and Conditions with you.

The sales representative advised you of the total price of the package and that we accept MasterCard or Visa. You choose to pay for your package with you Aunt’s credit card (MasterCard) and then clearly told the sales representative that you have your own American Express card but did not want to incur the fee required to book your vacation with an American Express card.

In addition, it is clearly stated (in capital letters), on both your receipt and on the Terms and Conditions that guests without a valid credit card will not be allowed to check in to the resort upon arrival – as well as the resort’s definition of what a major credit card is – “one (1) personalized valid major credit card: VISA, MASTERCARD or AMERICAN EXPRESS are accepted (debit cards, check cards, company/corporate cards or Discover cards are NOT accepted). Customer must have at least $2,000 USD available on credit card.”

That being said, you received the resort’s confirmation of your reservation 13 days after booking, which was approximately 1-1/2 months before your check-in date.

Our special promotional packages are sponsored by the resorts and the rooms are discounted up to 77% because the resort is subsidizing the room. The resort sets forth certain eligibility requirements for these packages.

All qualifications, resort fees, taxes, deposits and penalties for any particular property are clearly stated on the Terms and Conditions governing each vacation package, which are located on the bottom of every resort offering page on our website, and are reviewed with the customer during the sales call. The customer must accept and agree to the Terms and Conditions via electronic signature before any reservation is final and the travel dates sent to the resort.

Neither BookVIP nor the resort could have known that you did not have a major credit card.

We send over 100,000 people on vacation per year and have more customer video reviews than any other travel site: http://bookvip.com/sitereviews.

Thank you.
