The reason why the rooms are up to 80% discounted from the retail rate is because the resort is subsidizing the room in exchange for your time during the resort preview. Each customer must meet the terms & conditions which is set forth by the resort and we go over with customer. Each customer signs the terms & conditions. As we explained, the resort does not allow for “group travel” which consists of family/friends during the same travel dates. We booked a trip to Cabo and are to arrive on Monday June 15th thru June 20th 2015. My wife called to verify if we need marriage lic or just drivers lic when attending the 90 min presentation.

The man on the phone 5 days before we arrive said your room is on hold. She was upset of course and asked why. He said through social media we have detected that someone you know is going as well. We asked who.

He gave the name and my wife stated we are not aware of the person. What has happened is one of my daughters friends at school a few years back played soccer with her parents booked a trip apparentky same week after school let out. What i have been told is that its just the parents going. We dont hang out with the parents and were not aware of them and where they are or live.

Due to my daughter being my friend and the daughters it links us up. They want another 1750 dollars for a group rate. We have tried to battle this. They have informed us they will drop the additional fee to 1067 dollars to allow us to stay.

So we are showing up with a emailed confirmation that we received. They did confirm the other people going live in another city and are taking a different flight. They were going to give us there phone number to call and ask to split the cost. My wife said isnt that illegal..he paused and said i will call them..

Understand this add was put on facebook as a getaway for 399 for 5 nights. Seems as a scam to get more money out of you. Not a happy customer...only minday will tell.

We plan on flying in to cabo regardless.

First off, we are very sorry to learn of the injuries suffered by your husband on the drive to your vacation in Charleston and we hope he is doing fine. Just to explain, all the promotional packages are pre-paid and BookVip has an extremely flexible reschedule policy as you can reschedule anytime up to 12 months at no cost. However, if there is a cancellation within 3 days with this package, we get penalized which is why there wasn’t a refund issued. Additionally, as a company we hear all sorts of different reasons and it’s very difficult to sort out the truth sometimes. This is definitely a special case and we will be giving a full refund and also let you continue the trip free cost once your husband is back to health. My husband fell while driving to our BOOKVIP reservation in Charleston. He broke his shoulder, nose and ribs.

We had to be flown home to Canada. We gave BookVIP plenty of notice to cancel our booking. My husband can't get insurance to travel outside Canada anymore. Bookvip refuses to give us even a partial refund.

After speaking to them 5 times, they will do nothing to help us. One person said he didn't see why we couldn't get a refund but he would have to speak to his manager. No manager ever called me back.

I've only had salesmen call me to try to rebook us. Don't use this company.

I found this great deal to go to a beach resort for three days. After going through the whole procedure...booking online, calling the number, being placed on hold, the assistant kept asking for personal information.

If I am married, I have to travel with a spouse (not children), if I am single, I can travel with children, if I am Canadian, I can't book because the "offer" is only valid for US citizens and green card holders.

Why don't they put all the requirements online so I do not waste my time. Seriously...I am very disappointed BookingVIP.com....what a waste of my time!!!

I did enter my credit card info on a great rate offered on a hotel - and the pop up screen came up telling me to call them to confirm because they have to verify the card info. Luckily I didn't give my real name when I first was going to book and the zip code I gave didn't match the credit card either.

I was put on hold several times by young guy who didn't speak great English. He asks if I can be put on hold several times..comes back and says their company doesn't work with the hotel I tried to reserve. SO WHY ARE YOU TAKING MY CARD NUMBER TO RESERVE? Fraud!

Flat out FRAUD- plan to turn them over to the the federal government today. Anybody else...here is the link http://www.stopfraud.gov/report.html

This is a message I sent James, who on this site has identified himself as one of the BookVip owner's.

My boyfriend and I booked a vacation to Playa del Carmen for May 31-June 7. We received the confirmation for the Secrets Capris Rivera Maya. Two weeks ago we inquired about changing the hotel to Secrets Silversand. The BookVip agent confirmed that we would be able to make the change and we paid an additional $116 to do so.

We received a direct confirmation from Secrets Capris Rivera Maya (when we originally booked it) but not from Secrets Silversand. I called the reservation line today to confirm everything was ok. To my dismay the phone operator informed me the previous BookVip agent had cancelled our original hotel reservation and never made the change; supposedly he was new and this is why he made this mistake.

Our flight's have already been reserved and cannot be changed without us paying a $400 change flight fee.

I understand businesses make errors. I'm ok with that. What concerns me is the fact that BookVip's standard policy in situations like this is refuse to take ownership and offer a simple remedy to ensure best customer quality service. Instead every BookVip agent I speak to is able to acknowledge this company's mistake but offer no solution to compensate the customer. Why do we have to pay money out of pocket for a mistake that BookVip made? Sounds like terrible business ethics.

I find this quite disturbing. Perhaps you have such a successful business that BookVip is perfectly ok with screwing people?

We did our part and BookVip reservations hotline made several errors. BookVip could rectify the situation, however, is choosing not to.

I supposed going viral with this or trying to get the local tv news to investigate BookVip is of no interest to you?

BookVIP could not help us nor would they allow me to speak to a supervisor. They sent us to Expedia which is an affilated travel service.

Expedia then sent us to another affiliation (they did not know the name but it is a reservation payment company which in turn in a recorded message told us to go to our emailed itinerary to manage our reservation.

As we did from the beginning, which was the reason I called is the email itinerary link said we could not manage on that site and to call the number for BookVIP. It's a circle scam!
