First and foremost, prior to your submitting this complaint, we had already issued your refund for 100% of your money.
BookVIP has thousands of happy travelers every week and has more video testimonials from happy customers than any other travel website in the world - however not everyone will be eligible for our 77%-off packages.

All of our 77%-off promotions are sponsored by the participating resort. With such low and affordable prices, these special promotions could easily be sold-out solely to 20 year-old young adults, which is not the demographic for whom these special promotions are designed. Thus, it is necessary to have a few qualifications which must be met to be eligible to participate.

As an example - all of our promotions require that the consumer have a major credit card to check-in and not just a debit card, some age limitations, and group travel is not permitted with these promotions. Each qualification is clearly presented in writing and must be approved by the guest before the reservation can be finalized and sent to the resort

Apparently, a few days before your scheduled check-in date, you called us to confirm whether or not a credit card was required (due to your previous agreement to same) only to hear us confirm that yes you would need one.

At the time of your last call, you were in breach of the cancel or reschedule policy which very clearly states that if cancelling or rescheduling within 7 days of your travel dates, the resorts charge a rescheduling fee in the amount of $100. This is a standard practice implemented worldwide by hotels and resorts, because rooms that are cancelled at the last minute may not re-sell, resulting in a loss for the hotel or resort (as happened with the room that was reserved for you).

Despite your breach of the terms, your demand was honored and your full refund was processed within minutes of your call – and PRIOR to this online complaint.

We would recommend to anyone booking one of these 77% off vacations, to clearly read and review the terms of each offer which we post in writing on our website and in the purchase process.

We review these terms verbally with each customer, and more importantly, in writing, to ensure that there are no misunderstandings and that you are indeed eligible for an amazing vacation at a ridiculously low price!

I am making a complaint about your agent, i booked for an hotel paradise cancun resort today around 10:30 pm to 10:50 pm

when i called to confirm for my reservation the guy said that the fact that me and my girfriend were not married do not allow us to go to this hotel... When i looked to the term and condition it was saying married or cohabiting together, when i told the guy, he put me on hold and took it off, in front of me say refresh please; very disrespectful and after he try to sell me another package of a 100 more, so instead of 299$ like in your website saying it 399$ but wait a min he said it comes up to 502$ at the end of the road to include your taxes,,, i looked to your website,,, it doesn't talk about taxes,,, you should write 399$ + Taxes to your ad...

So all this is bad customer service, and false advertisement... I am going to cancel the airplane tomorow...

Bad agent... If i was your boss and believe me; where i work if one of my people would treat all my clients like that, i would fire them...

I CALLED TO BOOK A TRIP ON 7/16- I WAS ASKED TO READ ALL THE TERMS AND CONDITION WHICH I DID AND ASKED THE REP FROM BOOKVIP, IT SAYS I NEED A MAJOR CREDIT CARD BECAUSE I DONT HAVE ONE AND SHE SAID DOES YOUR SPOUSE HAVE ONE I SAID NO THEN SHE PLACED ME ON HOLD CAME BACK SAID IT WAS OK, I SAID ARE YOU SURE SHE SAID NOT A PROBLEM I CALLED ON 8/31 TO CONFIRIM AGAIN ABOUT THE MAJOR CC VS. DEBT NOW IM TOLD THAT I CANNOT USE MY DEBT CARD AND WILL NOT REFUND MY MONEY I ASKED FOR A MANAGER AND WAS TOLD THEY WERE ON A BREAK THEN SAID WILL ONLY REFUND 129.00, I PAID 229.00.

I GET RIPPED OFF FROM MY MONEY RUINED WEEKEND PLANS FOR THE 6 OF US THAT WERE GOING TO THE GRANDVIEW IN VEGAS FOR THIS LABOR DAY WEEKEND BECUASE OF YOUR STAFF THAT SAID I COULD USE MY DEBT CARD WHEN I TOLD THEM TWICE I DID NOT HAVE A MAJOR CC...THIS IS ALL ON RECORDING WHICH I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD LISTEN TO, I BEG THEM TO LISTEN SO THEY CAN HEAR THE INFORMATION THAT WAS GIVEN TO ME...THIS IS A RIP OFF I WANT ALL MY MONEY BACK THIS IS NOT FAIR THAT OUR PLANS HAVE BEEN RUINED AND YOUR KEEPING MY MONEY BECUASE OF THE WRONG INFORMATION YOUR OPERATOR THAT BOOKED MY RESERVATION DID!!

Please note that the presentation and all qualifications, additional resort fees, taxes, and/or deposits which may be required by any particular resort, are clearly stated, in writing, on the Terms and Conditions, and must be reviewed, agreed to, and accepted by all guests before the reservation can be finalized and forwarded to the resort.

The second trip you reference was promptly cancelled and a 100% refund issued within 3 days of your request to cancel same.

As a rapidly growing company we are not always perfect, but strive to maintain our A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau for our customer service.
In addition to the 2 vacations referenced in your complaint, you have a 3d vacation pending at a beautiful 5-star resort in Mexico.
We hope you will enjoy the 6-day/5-night free vacation you still have pending!

We were so excited to receive a free trip, as Bookvip put it. After talking with bookvip for almost 45 minutes, here comes all the ***.

" Oh in order for you to take advantage of this offer you must pay a processing fee, and sit through a 90 minutes presentation." Get to the Westgate Resort, and the rooms are not what we were told we would be receiving. The "90 minutes presentation turns to 3 hours. No one ever said this was about timeshares until we get to Smokey Mountains. Westgate Smokey Mountain Resort customers service is awful and I couldn't wait to get back to call bookvip to voice my complaints.

I had another trip plan with bookvip that I requested to cancel since June 2015, just finally got bookvip to cancel the trip but o course they wouldn't refund us the full amount of the reservation. Please be careful when receiving calls from bookvip. They are very misleading and the customers service agents are very rude and unprofessional.

I will never accept a trip with them or recommend any else too. Sad when you are ready to return home ASAP from a so call vacation.

All of our amazingly affordable promotions are sponsored and subsidized by the participating resort partner. In short, the resort partner is paying the 70% discount on your behalf when you meet the qualifications they set forth for these promotions. The resort partners just can’t open the door for everyone for these special promotions. In order to limit these promotions to the customers they are designed for, certain qualifications must be implemented. Therefore, certain "personal" questions are asked - such as - age, marital status, income.

All qualifications, as well as any additional resort fees, taxes, and/or deposits which may be required by any particular resort are reviewed with each guest during the sales call - and are clearly stated, in writing, on the Terms and Conditions, which must be reviewed, agreed to, and accepted by all guests before the reservation can be finalized and forwarded to the resort.

Other people to be aware of this!!

Listen, they do not tell you until after you sign up that there will be a mandatory presentation you must attend. They conveniently say at the last min, "oh sorry did we not mention that??" They ask a ton of very personal questions on the phone.

They do not inform you that wherever you stay there will be additional resort fees and deposits required. I spent $170 on my package and was surprised with $200 of additional fees when I go to the resort! I had called bookvip before going to the resort and asked specifically if there would be any additional fees when I checked in.

I was told that there would only be a charge of $17 a day for hotel taxes which should have been mentioned when I booked as well! The taxes ended up being $84 dollars and I had to put down $150 deposit when I go to the resort!
