We Can't Thank BookVIP Enough For This AWESOME Experience

We booked a stay at the Sandos Playacar with BookVIP and everything was exactly as advertised. I was a little wary due to some negative reviews that I had read but our experience was completely positive the entire way.

I highly recommend this service. :)

Bookvip - STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!!

Dear Faustina,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

In addition to our exclusive promotional package, BookVIP affords customers the opportunity to make reservations through a number of other travel sites such as Expedia via our website as a comparison tool, however, BookVIP itself has no control over or access to those reservations made with the other travel sites. All confirmations and receipts issued by Expedia provide a customer service telephone number and further instructions concerning cancellations/refunds.

As for BookVIP’s amazingly affordable special promotional packages, providing excellent customer service is our main goal and we are readily available 24-hrs. per day/7-days per week. The Terms and Conditions governing every vacation package can be found at the bottom of each hotel offering page on BookVIP’s website. The Terms and Conditions are printed in a normal font and are easy to understand.

BookVIP has thousands of happy travelers every week, and has more video testimonials from happy customers than any other travel website in the world. Please refer to http://bookvipreviews.com/.

If you book through BookVIP, be aware that they put "advance" purchase prices on hotels they label as cancellable without penalty. But, after you make the reservation, your confirmation may say it is not changeable or cancellable, and your credit card will immediately be charged!

When I tried to cancel, I had to make several calls, and each time the customer service person gave me a different number to call. I spoke to Melinda, Jezz, Jenny and Mitch @ BookVIP.com. I was given numbers to call the hotel direct, 3 different numbers at Expedia and 3 different numbers at BookVIP.com.

When I finally asked to speak to a manager at BookVIP.com , they refused to speak to me! The whole process took me over an hour and a half, and I still was unable to cancel my reservations.

Bookvip - FALSE ADVERTISING - Do Not Use - Add Terms & Conditions At Will

Thank you for your feedback.

First and foremost, BookVIP does not participate in false adverstising.

All qualifications and restrictions, as well as any additional resort fees, taxes, and/or deposits which may be required by any particular resort are contained in the Terms and Conditions for each package. The Terms and Conditions are located at the bottom of every hotel/resort offering page on our website. The Terms and Conditions are reviewed with each guest during the sales call and must be greed to, and accepted by all guests before the reservation can be finalized and forwarded to the resort.
Because the resort partner is paying the 70% discount on for these promotions, they set forth certain eligibility requirements for these vacation packages.
Many of the resorts charge a higher rate during peak travel seasons (such as Christmas and Easter/Springbreak). Most of these charges are, indeed, reflected on the on-line calendar, including the Krystal Resort Cancun, which you were interested in visiting during the Christmas holiday season.
I pride myself in BookVip offering the most discounted vacation packages and having an A+ rating Better Business Bureau for our customer service.

We will send over 300,000 families on dreams vacations alone this year! We have more actual customer video reviews than any other travel site.http://bookvip.com/sitereviews

I've tried booking with BookVIP three times now and every time they ad terms and conditions that either exclude us from travelling (need to be cohabitating) or the price triples when you call to confirm. This isn't listed on their website and their representatives are useless.

Will never use them. FALSE ADVERTISING. I thought it looked too good to be true for the price and it was.

They told me to try another resort and call them back because there are different terms and conditions for each one. Try using cheapcaribbean.com instead.

Above all else, providing excellent customer service is our main goal and all of our customer service agents are highly-trained and qualified.

Please be reminded that BookVIP issued you a full refund of monies paid with no penalties due to the circumstances caused by the resort partner’s inability to accommodate you.

All of our special promotional packages are sponsored by the participating resort partner. Because of the high demand for these amazingly affordable vacation packages, every once in awhile, the participating resort discovers that reservations have exceeded the allotment.

Although this happens rarely, it puts BookVIP (as the booking company) in the difficult position of being the bearer of bad news.

You were offered the Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos, which is not a “chain hotel,” but actually is a four-star resort. The property offers three different ambiances: A quiet adult-only section perfect as a relaxing hide away, an activities section with a big pool where scheduled games and activities take place during the day, and a family section with pool and a special kids playground to get together with your children to have fun in the sun.

We have an A+ rating with Better Business Bureau, send over 100,000 people on vacation per year and have more customer video reviews than any other travel site. http://bookvip.com/sitereviews.

On 12/27/15 we paid $149 deposit for an open booking for Sandos Finisterra Los Cabos until we could coordinate vacation schedules and approvals through our employer. On 1/11/16 I called back, spoke to a supervisor (Lex) and was able to finalize the dates of 2/9 - 2/12 and paid the $150 balance.

I was then told the criteria for the promotional rate: That we'd have to listen to a timeshare presentation and they also asked a series of question to verify that we qualified (which we did). I wasn't thrilled about having to do the presentation but decided I could live with it. We then booked our airfare. On 1/20 I received an email saying to contact them for Urgent Reservation matter.

I spoke with Sharizza and she asked why I was calling, I told her that I got a message to call, so she needs to tell me. She looked at my account and said everything was fine and there was nothing to worry about. Today 1/22, I received the same email message. This time I spoke with Laine and she told me that the dates I had reserved were no longer available and instead offered me the Holiday Inn.

This was not acceptable to me. I booked the Sandos Finisterra specifically because it was actually in Cabos San Lucas, on a beach, within walking distance to marina/town, and is a 4 + star rated hotel. The Holiday Inn isn't even in Cabos San Lucas, but instead over 30 miles away in San Jose which would require a rental car or taxi expense to get to town. It is a chain hotel, and not a "luxury" hotel.

Due to coordination of our work vacations and the fact that we have purchased our plane tickets, rescheduling wasn't an option either. So I asked Laine if I could cancel with a refund. She said if I rebooked with Holiday Inn, then I can not, but I could up until I rebooked because they were not able to give me what I reserved. I then called fiance and discussed our options.

After checking around we were able to reserve another resort in the location we wanted at a much higher rate. I then called back the same day to request they cancel and refund my money. I spoke with Ben, and although he seemed sympathetic, he said he could not refund the money because its been over 7 days since I booked it. The reason I cancelled was because they could not fulfill their agreement when I booked the resort.

If they were able to give me a room at the Sandos Finisterra, I wouldn't have cancelled. This is a part of my vacation budget and I need this $300 for my trip, especially since I'm now paying more for accommodations. And I definitely don't want to let them keep the money towards an open booking and have to go through another experience like this with them.

Attached is a screenshot I had taken of the promotional package that I had purchased and they were not able to give me. Also, I have gone to the site and acted like I was purchasing it again to see the availability dates and my dates are showing available as marked in green on the attached screenshot.

Bookvip - Vacation Package Booking Review from Nashville, Tennessee

We appreciate the opportunity to address your comments.

Our special promotional packages are sponsored by the resorts and the rooms are discounted up to 77% because the resort is subsidizing the room in exchange for your time during the resort preview.

Due to the limited number of packages available, the resort partners set forth certain eligibility requirements to ensure that the packages are enjoyed by the demographic for whom they are designed.

As the booking company, BookVIP must ensure that all guests are eligible for the promotional packages before reservations are made and sent to the participating resort provider.

The Terms and Conditions governing every vacation package can be found at the bottom of each hotel offering page.

BookVIP has thousands of happy travelers every week, and has more video testimonials from happy customers than any other travel website in the world. Please refer to http://bookvipreviews.com/.

We never actually booked with this company eventually. What seems to be too good to be true often is.

When we tried to make the reservation we suddenly had to tell our whole life history like being vetted for a high security job. Then the dates that had been available suddenly were not and then we were told to expect to sit through a sales presentation that apparently is put in such fine print that you need a microscope to read it.

The representative spoke barely passable English and appeared to be talking from a Zumba class, there was so much background noise. Prices aside there is not much going for this company and I will just say, prepare to be disappointed

Bookvip Hotel Reservation Review from Reno, Nevada

Dear Mr. Steen,

Thank you for sharing your experience.
First and foremost, I would like to apologize for any inconvenience and stress resulting from the manner of communication provided by our Customer Service agent. All of our calls are recorded so I appreciate your comments as we were able use the call as a valuable learning exercise. As the fastest growing travel company in the world, we sometimes fall short of our goal, however we are constantly looking to improve.

Above all else, providing excellent customer service is our main goal and all of our customer service agents are highly-trained and qualified.

All of our special promotional packages are subsidized up to 77% by the participating resorts, and it is the resort who sets forth the eligibility requirements for these promotional packages. In your particular case, you would have saved over $500 in exchange for your 90-120 minutes of your time.

I booked an online reservation for 4 days/3 night suite at The Grandview at Las Vegas for $219. However, when I called to confirm the representative misquoted the offer (obviously reading the script for Thursday and not the one that I booked for Wednesday) then RUDELY stated that my reservation would be canceled since I am not traveling with my spouse and hung up in my face as I tried to clarify if this was due to a timeshare presentation requirement which was not advertised.

After seeing a promotional offer on Facebook, I began to read reviews about BookVIP. I read two, the second by a New Yorker dated June 26, 2015 ("FRAUDULENT..."), at which time I determined there was no need to continue.

I have been in customer service 40 years and any establishment that would say to a customer "all of your comments are completely untrue," as well as to be so condescending as to follow that up with " we wish you a wonderful vacation" after ironically talking about their "A+ rating for customer service," is certainly not an entity from whom I'm interested in acquiring a vacation package. I'm happy for those that had no difficulty but no way will I take the risk.

Bookvip Hotel Reservation Review from Miami, Florida

Dear Angela,

We were very surprised to receive your comments as it looks like they were sent just before we resolved the issue.

We immediately responded to the email sent directly to my attention on 1/20 and you were promptly contacted by a supervisor to help you locate a resort for which you were qualified.

After a pleasant conversation, you were sent a personal email listing specific resorts in Orlando which offer promotional packages to Florida residents with debit cards. You were also advised to check the Terms and Conditions listed at the bottom of each resort offering page to ensure you qualified as to income, age, etc. You called later in the day and booked another resort for which you were not qualified.

You were contacted again the following morning and after another pleasant conversation, you agreed to review the resort offerings presented via email yesterday and also agreed to remove your posting.

Unfortunately, at the end of the day, we were unable to assist you because of the qualifications set forth by the resort for the special promotional package and your travel dates.
