I found this great deal to go to a beach resort for three days. After going through the whole procedure...booking online, calling the number, being placed on hold, the assistant kept asking for personal information.

If I am married, I have to travel with a spouse (not children), if I am single, I can travel with children, if I am Canadian, I can't book because the "offer" is only valid for US citizens and green card holders.

Why don't they put all the requirements online so I do not waste my time. Seriously...I am very disappointed BookingVIP.com....what a waste of my time!!!

I did enter my credit card info on a great rate offered on a hotel - and the pop up screen came up telling me to call them to confirm because they have to verify the card info. Luckily I didn't give my real name when I first was going to book and the zip code I gave didn't match the credit card either.

I was put on hold several times by young guy who didn't speak great English. He asks if I can be put on hold several times..comes back and says their company doesn't work with the hotel I tried to reserve. SO WHY ARE YOU TAKING MY CARD NUMBER TO RESERVE? Fraud!

Flat out FRAUD- plan to turn them over to the the federal government today. Anybody else...here is the link http://www.stopfraud.gov/report.html

Pissedcomsumer.com makes it rather difficult to immediately remove a post, therefore I am including an update to my previous post. After I emailed James, owner of BookVip, I received a response from him in less than one hour.

James and his team quickly and professionally rectified the situation and my boyfriend and I are very pleased with the outcome.

Originally we were very upset with BookVIp. I did some research, found this site and James's addressing everyone's concerns. I took a chance in contacting him and I was very surprised yet very pleased that he acknowledge my email and took corrective action so quickly.

I now have restored faith in this company and my boyfriend and I are looking forward to our vacation in Mexico.

This is a message I sent James, who on this site has identified himself as one of the BookVip owner's.

My boyfriend and I booked a vacation to Playa del Carmen for May 31-June 7. We received the confirmation for the Secrets Capris Rivera Maya. Two weeks ago we inquired about changing the hotel to Secrets Silversand. The BookVip agent confirmed that we would be able to make the change and we paid an additional $116 to do so.

We received a direct confirmation from Secrets Capris Rivera Maya (when we originally booked it) but not from Secrets Silversand. I called the reservation line today to confirm everything was ok. To my dismay the phone operator informed me the previous BookVip agent had cancelled our original hotel reservation and never made the change; supposedly he was new and this is why he made this mistake.

Our flight's have already been reserved and cannot be changed without us paying a $400 change flight fee.

I understand businesses make errors. I'm ok with that. What concerns me is the fact that BookVip's standard policy in situations like this is refuse to take ownership and offer a simple remedy to ensure best customer quality service. Instead every BookVip agent I speak to is able to acknowledge this company's mistake but offer no solution to compensate the customer. Why do we have to pay money out of pocket for a mistake that BookVip made? Sounds like terrible business ethics.

I find this quite disturbing. Perhaps you have such a successful business that BookVip is perfectly ok with screwing people?

We did our part and BookVip reservations hotline made several errors. BookVip could rectify the situation, however, is choosing not to.

I supposed going viral with this or trying to get the local tv news to investigate BookVip is of no interest to you?

unable to find my reservation I have my email confirmation from BookVIP, just wanted to change one day!!

BookVIP could not help us nor would they allow me to speak to a supervisor. They sent us to Expedia which is an affilated travel service.

Expedia then sent us to another affiliation (they did not know the name but it is a reservation payment company which in turn in a recorded message told us to go to our emailed itinerary to manage our reservation.

As we did from the beginning, which was the reason I called is the email itinerary link said we could not manage on that site and to call the number for BookVIP. It's a circle scam!

I was berated terribly, just because I asked the following question.

"What happens if we check in to one of your listed hotels and the hotel happens to be dirty, run down? Are we able to call you and possibly be sent to another one of your hotels?"

I have the date, time, name and extension number of this agent if management is interested. He was just awful. I cannot imagine this company endorsing their employees talking to customers in this manner. I have made 4 additional phone calls attempting to speak with customer relations, a supervisor or manager. Each agent I spoke with were apologetic of the way the agent spoke to me. However, each one stated there was no one to speak to.

The reason we can offer packages 70% off the retail rates is because the resorts subsidize the cost of these discounted vacations in exchange for your time during the resort preview. The resort verifies each reservation before issuing a confirmation number as resort is paying the cost of discounted vacation. A majority of the issues occur when the resort finds the terms & conditions are being circumvented in which they believed was the case.

My husband and I booked our vacation with BookVIP for a 5 day stay at the Omni in Cancun Mexico. I was asked to verify my information 4 times with BookVIP (they called every 2 days).

There was never an issue with my reservation. When we arrived in Cancun our reservation was cancelled and we were told we had to pay full price to stay at the resort or leave. They told me I called and said my husband was not travelling with me. I NEVER CANCELLED OUR RESERVATION.

This company is HORRIBLE. They would not give me a full refund.
